Mantra Celebrates Nine Years of Providing Security Services in Nigeria

Mantra's 9th anniversary celebration image.

As we celebrate our company’s 9th anniversary, we can look back proudly on another outstanding year, full of significant milestones for our security services as well as our people.

As a leading security service provider in Nigeria, we have this year remained actively involved in many industry activities, especially those organised by the ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security) Chapter 206, Lagos. As official corporate sponsors, we have supported both the ‘Next Gen’ conference and the Leadership Retreat, emphasising the importance of developing both young professionals that have recently entered the security profession, as well as those more experienced security industry leaders in Nigeria.

Indeed, at the 2023 ASIS AGM, we were honoured to receive a Special Award for our corporate sponsorship and our wider contribution to the security industry in Nigeria. Members of our Senior Management Team are also making their mark in Nigeria, as underlined by the fact that our General Manager for Finance and Administration, Ms Stella Okoh, received an individual award, as ‘Young Security Professional of the Year 2023’.

We believe it is vitally important to actively participate in security industry events, both in Nigeria and globally, in order to benefit our Security Threats and Information Services for our Clients. Our attendance at the UK International Security Expo in London, provided us with unique insights into the latest emerging threats and innovative solutions (such as Artificial Intelligence), which we are incorporating into our Technical and Electronic Security Services. Our regular Security Advisories have been in high demand this year, with our Clients appreciating our proactive efforts to provide up-to-date incident data and security advice and recommendations for their employees. Please contact us if you would like to receive a copy of our Mid-Year Security Advisory.

As part of our Security Consultancy Services, our bespoke Security Training Programs have been enhanced and improved over the last year. By implementing a ‘Timeout for Safety’, we undertook a comprehensive set of training sessions for our Armed Escort Drivers, providing them with valuable insights and practical knowledge to ensure they maintain a high level of proficiency in their roles as drivers and a key part of our Journey Management Program.

Our excellent corporate credentials are the reason why an increasing number of national and international companies trust Mantra for their security training requirements. We recently completed a comprehensive program across multiple locations in Nigeria for the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, with delegates actively engaging in the sessions that featured emergency response planning as well as the need for thorough security risk assessments. Please contact us to discuss any of the training needs for your company.

The new trade agreement, Enhanced Trade and Investment Partnership (ETIP), that was signed between the UK and Nigeria earlier in 2024 signalled an intention by both Governments to further enhance trade between the two countries. As a result of this new opportunity, we launched our dedicated Due Diligence services as part of our Security Consultancy Services, to act on behalf of UK or other international companies by carrying out checks on potential partner companies in Nigeria, as well as the screening of individuals to help Clients make well-informed recruitment decisions.

Our acceptance as corporate members into the Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce and our involvement in important business meetings with the UK Secretary of State for the Department of Business and Trade at the UK British Deputy High Commission in Lagos, Nigeria underlines our growing reputation on an international stage as a highly regarded security services company in Nigeria. Having also been appointed the Security Market Expert for Nigeria by the UK Institute of Export, we strongly believe that we are very well placed to help international companies start to trade in Nigeria for the first time. Please contact us if you are considering taking this step for your business.

Our Armed Escort Services and our Security Guard Services remain in constant demand, with many existing Clients using our services on an even more regular basis, and many new Clients trying out these services to help keep their employees and premises safe at all times. The launch of our exciting new partnership with GPFI also provides Clients with a one-stop-shop solution for asset management. Please contact us if we can help your business with either of these exceptional services.

Finally, one of the main highlights of this year, has been our exclusive launch of the most advanced wireless surveillance camera on the market in Nigeria: the ICU Cellular Land Observation and Monitoring (CLOM) CAM5 network camera as part of our Technical Security solutions. Its cutting-edge remote surveillance technology is already providing many benefits to our Clients, such as the ability to remotely monitor premises or facilities from a smartphone. Contact us for a demonstration on how this camera can be seamlessly integrated into your existing security surveillance systems.

As we look back on another successful year for our company, we are grateful for the help and support provided by our employees, partners and our esteemed Clients. We are looking forward to many more successful years for Mantra!
